Swing Dancing at Don Bosco
Pendleton Heights will be hosting swing dancing lessons at Don Bosco Center’s gym, Independence Ave. and Garfield. No partner is needed and class will last 45 minutes to an hour. All are invited to attend. Cost is $5. Swing lessons will be held the third Wednesday of every month.

Karaoke, Bingo and Country Jams
Knights of Columbus Council 4613 is hosting a night of karaoke, bingo and country jams from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Parish – St. Joseph Hall, 3028 Lexington, Kansas City, Mo. Food will also be served at a reasonable price.

Friday Night Family Fun
Join the Kansas City Museum for a fun-filled evening of transportation facts, games and crafts at 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Branch Public Library, 4801 Main Street, Kansas City, Mo. Local musician Emily Tummons will also be singing transportation songs as part of the program.

Mattie Rhodes’ Farmers Market celebration
Mattie Rhodes, 130 N. Topping, Kansas City, Mo., will host an opening celebration of its La Chalupa Farmers Market on April 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Color the World
Della Lamb Community Services will host its annual dinner and auction, “Color the World” on April 28 at the Kansas City Downtown Marriott – Muehlebach Tower Imperial Ballroom, 12th and Wyandotte. Bike Safety Rodeo
The Bike Safety Rodeo, Health and Financial Fair will be held at Budd Park, 4925 St. John Ave., Kansas City, Mo., Saturday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Two-hundred fifty bike helmets and 250 T-shirts will be given to the first children in attendance. There will also be inflatables and raffle prizes.

Northeast Chalk Walk
Northeast’s Chalk Walk will be held Saturday, April 28, and Sunday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Concourse in Kessler Park, St. John Avenue and Benton Boulevard. This free, family-friendly event is a public sidewalk chalk drawing festival that will also feature local booths and live entertainment.

Northeast Community-wide Clean-up
Help Northeast look a little cleaner by participating in the community-wide clean-up April 28 from 8 a.m. to noon. Free dumpsters will be available at: 508 Garfield Ave.; Harmony Park, 10th and Bellefontaine Ave.; The Concourse, Benton Blvd. and St. John Ave.; Sheffield, 1120 Oakley Ave.; Budd Park, Brighton and St. John Ave. Trash bags will also be available.

Don Bosco Center Pancake Breakfast
Join Don Bosco Center for a pancake breakfast April 28 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Don Bosco Senior Center, 580 Campbell St. Cost is $5 per person and proceeds will go toward replacing the catalytic converter on the senior shuttle.
