This newshound would like to throw some kudos out to some hard working neighborhood volunteers who spent their Saturday working in area parks, clearing brush and removing illegally dumped trash from the premises. Volunteers in both Pendleton heights and Scarritt Renaissance have been taking advantage of mild “winter” temperatures to spruce up and clean up Northeast’s parks and boulevards.

Scarritt Renaissance neighbors have been methodically removing unsightly brush along the western edge of Concourse Park up by the Collonaide, greatly improving the vista from Gladstone Boulevard and the area near the tennis courts. Pendleton Heights volunteers trimmed saplings from the reservoir fence and removed debris from the forested hillside near the western edge of the Cliff Drive scenic Byway.

As a long-time neighborhood advocate, this crafty canine would like to encourage folks to get involved in their respective neighborhoods. Many hands make light work.
