On this week’s episode Publisher Michael Bushnell is at the Kansas City Museum in anticipation of the Northeast gem’s reopening on July 6. In January, the newly renovated museum closed after a catastrophic failure of the HVAC drainage system caused water to pour down from the attic, affecting every floor, though no artifacts were damaged. Chiluba Musonda, Deputy Director of Operations and Org. Development and Zac Laman, Operations Coordinator, explain the issue, and how they worked with their contractors and the City to ensure it will never happen again. During their closure, they worked on exhibits, tweaked their strategic plan, and scheduled exciting events for this summer.
