Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters-Baker this afternoon announced that Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zhand will be appointed Special Prosecutor in the allegations of Assault by Tonia Titus against embattled Kansas City Councilman Michael Brooks. Brooks, who’s term as a sitting Councilman has been riddled with controversy.
