Newly appointed Kansas City Missouri Police Department, Central Patrol Major Ryan Mills hosted a meet and greet Wednesday evening at the historic El Torreon ballroom where he met community stakeholders and chatted with Northeast neighbors from his East Patrol days not so long ago.

Mills stressed community involvement being a key to creating better neighborhoods. “Community involvement is extremely important and those contacts we make in the neighborhood pay far more dividends than what it costs to invest our time in to it’” Mills said.

“The relationships I made at EPD still benefit us today and help make neighborhoods safer and increase the ability for the community and the police department to interact with each other.”

Residents with crime concerns may contact Major Mills at the Central Patrol division at 1200 E. Linwood Boulevard or by calling 816-234-5510.
