Suspicious death victim identified

The victim in Saturday morning’s suspicious death investigation at Independence and Forest Avenues has been identified as forty-six year old Howard E West.

The medical examiner’s investigation concluded that West was stabbed. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Detectives continue to search for the suspect. If anyone has any information or saw anything suspicious in this area they are asked to call the Homicide Unit directly at 234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS

There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
