Planet Comicon Kansas City blasts off toward April 22-24, 2022 event

Adam Savage, Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter, Garth Ennis and Matt Kindt first guests announced for annual pop-culture event at Bartle Hall.

Planet Comicon Kansas City has blasted off towards 2022! Just three months after Planet Comicon completed its most recent show at Bartle Hall, organizers for the largest and longest-running comic book and pop culture event in the region have announced their first celebrity and creator guests for the 2022 show.

Adam Savage, the Emmy-nominated former host and producer of Mythbusters, will be making his Planet Comicon Kansas City debut. Savage, the first official guest to be announced for the 2022 show, was previously scheduled to appear at Planet Comicon in 2020. Joining Savage at Planet Comicon will be Ashley Eckstein, from Disney’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars fame. Eckstein is the well-known voice of Ahsoka from the epic animated television series as well as the Founder of the “Her Universe” fangirl fashion line. Matt Lanter, Eckstein’s Star Wars co-star, will be making his first appearance at Planet. Lanter is the voice of Anakin Skywalker and has starred in the CW spin-off series 90210. Eckstein and Lanter are two of the biggest stars in the Star Wars animated series.

Garth Ennis, the award-winning comic book writer, highlights Planet Comicon’s first batch of creator guests announced for the show. Ennis, whose credits include Preacher, The Boys, Hitman and The Punisher, has written for both DC Comics and Marvel.

In addition to Ennis, Planet Comicon Kansas City announced St. Louis, MO-native Matt Kindt, the NYT best-selling writer, artist and graphic designer. An Eisner and Harvey Award nominee, Kindt is perhaps best known for BRZRKR, the new comic book series that he co-authored with actor Keanu Reeves.

With more guest announcements planned throughout December and beyond, Planet Comicon Kansas City will once again welcome the best in comics, sci-fi, fantasy and superhero television, film, and books. Tickets and photo op packages for Planet Comicon are on sale now along with special event hotel rates.

Planet Comicon Kansas City is also giving the gift of Planet during the holidays by offering fans a FREE $10 Planet Comicon merchandise voucher with the purchase of any full-price adult admission. The offer is good for a limited time during the holiday season and is only available through PlanetComicon.com!
