FRIDAY – June 11

Don Bosco Monthly Mobile Food Pantry

We will have fresh produce and other nutritious foods available from Harvesters’ mobile food pantry at this distribution, on a first-come/first-served basis. Plan to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bags)! Please note this will be in our Senior Center parking lot, and will be open to the public. We ask that volunteers and attendees respect any instructions by staff during the event. KC Pet Project will be at the Mobile Distribution handing out pet food! We’re so grateful for their support! Make sure to stop by from 2-3:30pm.

On The Lawn: Summer Concert with The All-Star Brass Quintet

Outdoor, safe distanced concerts are back! Founded in 2021, the All-Star Brass Quintet is made up of musicians that are members of, and that perform regularly with the Kansas City Symphony. They enjoy performing a wide variety of music spanning from early Renaissance to Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington. The group is dedicated to bringing live music to all different areas around the KC metro.

Space is limited, tickets required Ticket prices are per diamond. Each 10’X10′ diamond will be placed 6′ apart and allows up to four (4) attendees. Attendees are encouraged to wear face covers and follow safe distancing outside of your diamond. Diamonds are first-come, first served. Please bring your own: picnics (no alcoholic beverages), blanket, or lawn chairs. Dogs and cats welcome. Tickets will go on sale the Friday BEFORE each concert.

SATURDAY – June 12

Community Clean up at Carl di Capo Fountain

Join your neighbors for the final spring cleaning of Kansas City’s backyard at Kessler Park and along Cliff Drive. This time we will be tackling the eastern end of the park near Carl di Capo fountain (The Waterfall) and along all the trails east to Indian Mound and west to Gladstone Point. Bags and gloves provided by Nomad Trails Development. See you there!

Strawberry Swing Pop-Up in Pendleton Heights

Join The Strawberry Swing as we pop-up over 30 local makers for a pre-Father’s Day shopping extravaganza. Rieger Distillery will be on site, PH Coffee, SoGal and The Waffler Food Truck alongside live music and community!

J. Rieger & Co’s Parking Lot Provisions

A walkable marketplace featuring goods and wares from some of our favorite local purveyors! Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13 from 10AM-2PM. This year’s vendors: Local Pig, Kansas City Canning Co., Savory Addictions, Charlie Hustle, Toli Tortilleria, Bloom Bakery, Thou Mayest, Betty Rae’s, Stag Pizza, Taste of Brazil. Music by DJ Thundercutz Note: this event is now walk-up. No drive-thru available. COVID-19: Masks encouraged, but not required.

Don Bosco Fundraiser

Get up and groove – for a good cause! Join us at Knuckleheads this Saturday, June 12th for a Mexican dinner and dancing to the amazing Atlantic Express! All proceeds will help Don Bosco’s clients be independent, safe, and healthy.

Pride Day in Pendleton Heights

LGBTQIA+ friends & allies, Vegan Events KC will be hosting a Pride Market at PH Coffee (Lexington & Brooklyn) in Pendleton Heights this coming Sunday. Kansas City Center for Inclusion will be present from 2-4pm with support and info. We hope to see you there!

Weekly art fair showcasing works from multi-talented Kansas City artists! Free to the public. Food trucks. Local brews. Live Music. Art/wellness classes for adults and children. Create, connect, shop. Every Sun from 11-4. Located across from PH Coffee in Pendleton Heights.
