Library extends operating hours across Kansas City

The Kansas City Public Library will be expanding operating hours beginning Friday, September 6, 2019 at various libraries across Kansas City.

Some libraries will open earlier on weekends and close later, providing an additional 28 hours of library access a week.

The additional hours comes after voters approved an 8-cent increase of the library’s operating levy in November, which would help maintain and modernize facilities and enhance library services.
