Chase follows shooting at area McDonald’s

A shooting incident at the McDonald’s at Independence and Hardesty yesterday morning involving a man who allegedly shot in to the restaurant after a dispute with his girlfriend. Police this morning received a tip as to the whereabouts of the suspect. When officers attempted to apprehend the suspect, he fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

The chase led officers in to Kansas City, Kansas on I-635, then crossed back in to Missouri on the Buck O’Neil Bridge, then I-70 and ultimately on to the Bruce Watkins Freeway where the driver and a passenger were taken in to custody.
