The corner of Independence and Hardesty will look a little different after September 22nd. That’s because the McDonald’s restaurant located at 5347 Independence Avenue will be torn down and replaced with a gleaming new facility, complete with updated contemporary exterior and new lighting and seating for the dining areas. Built in 1971, the restaurant has been a staple to the Northeast community for many years.

“We have a long history of providing food and fun to the community,” said Restaurant Manager Debbie Troemel. “The restaurant rebuild is our way of thanking this community for its ongoing support and providing a new, fun place for families to enjoy some time together.”

The rebuild will take roughly three months. A grand re-opening will be announced in the upcoming months.
