Olive Center Playgroup and Open Play
Start at Zero is hosting a bilingual playgroup at 555 Olive on Thursday, March 7th from 10am to 12pm and open play from 1pm to 5:30 p.m. Bring your child to play and stop by the Success by 6 Center during this time. There will be toys, activities and fun!

 

Friday, March 15

Northeast Storytime
Join in at the Northeast branch for singing, dancing, stories and fun activities that activate your little one’s brain! Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers (Ages 0-5). Storytime will be held Friday, March 15st from 11am to 12pm at 6000 Wilson Rd in the Children’s Area.

Kessler Park Cleanup
Community members will be meeting Friday, March 15th from 10am to 1pm at Gate 2 to help clean up Kessler Park. Please wear long sleeves, boots, bring gloves and loppers. Email board@pendletonheights.org for more info.

Third Fridays in the Northeast
Join in every third Friday from 4-9 pm for unique pop-up shops, fashion masterminds as well a featured artist every month. They’ll offer drinks and music to mingle – so hang out, meet some cool people and spend some time in Northeast! 3rd and 4th District City Council Candidate Forum
Quiz the third and fourth district city council candidates on the issues that are important to you and your neighborhood. Refreshments will be served. This event will be held Saturday, March 16th from 10am to 12pm at Kansas City Public Library Northeast branch (6000 Wilson Rd).

 

Monday, March 18

Healthy Living Challenge: Stay Strong Stay Healthy
The Northeast Library is having a Healthy Living Challenge Monday, March 18 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Participatns will learn 8 simple exercises designed to improve daily living. These moves will build strength, improve your balance, and your health. Everyone starts at a level that’s right for them! Adults over 55 are encouraged to join. Every Monday and Wednesday!

 

Tuesday, March 19

Saint Joseph’s Day
Tuesday, March 19th is Saint Joseph’s Day, the principal feast day of Saint Joseph, in which several Catholic parishes in the community will be setting up tables with food and sweets to celebrate the event. Some churches include The Holy Rosary Parish at Scalabrini Hall, 910 Pacific St., The Saint Anthony Parish at 309 Benton Blvd., and the Holy Cross Parish at 5106 St John Ave.
