Teen Advisory Group
Are you interested in making a difference at your library? Do you enjoy planning events and talking to other teens your age? Then this is the opportunity for you! Join the Teen Advisory Group and make the library a better, more fun place for teens like you! The event is open for teens 12 to 18 years old. Regulated Metals Enforcement
Come meet with community members to discuss enforcement of the negotiated Scrap Metal Ordinance. Neighborhood leaders will be in attendance, along with Jim Ready with Regulated Industries, Major Mark Folsom with KCPD Property Crimes, Scott Wagner, Mayor Pro Tem, and Major Gregg Volker, with KCPD East Patrol. This is an opportunity for residents to share experience with existing ordinance violations and the negative effect metal recycling facilities have on our community. Indian Mound Neighborhood Meeting
Indian Mound Neighborhood Association will be holding it’s first meeting of 2019 on Monday, January 21 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be at Holy Cross Parish (5106 St John Ave) because the Northeast Library will be closed in recognition of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

Community Luncheon
Join the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce at the monthly Community Luncheon as we discuss “Life on Independence Avenue: Then & Now”! Questions and discussion are encouraged. Join the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce at “The Mayoral Candidate Forum” on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Northeast High School located at 415 Van Brunt, Kansas City, MO 64124 as candidates for the upcoming Kansas City Mayoral election engage with the public! The forum will be broadcast LIVE on 100.1 FM as well as www.OneKCRadio.org, and is the perfect opportunity for all Mayoral Candidates to engage with our community and get feedback on the challenges and concerns facing our neighborhoods. The event is free and open to the public. Questions at the forum are encouraged. Be part of the progress of our city and let your voice be heard!

 

Second Annual State of the Northeast Forum
The second annual State of the Northeast Forum will be held Wednesday, January 30th from 6pm to 8pm, located at 148 N. Topping Avenue (in the basement of the Mattie Rhodes Center) .
