Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce hosted its After Hours event Nov. 29 at Mesob Pikliz, 3405 Independence Ave., and honored the restaurant with a ribbon cutting.

Mesob Pikliz has been serving Haitian and Ethiopian cuisine in the Northeast for a little over a year. During the After Hours, the restaurant served a a tasty spread of authentic appetizers and prizes were also given away, which included coasters, tickets to the Pendleton Heights Holiday Homes Tour and a graffiti removal pack.
