KANSAS CITY, Missouri – A man and a woman were killed on Monday, March 28 in a deadly Historic Northeast structure fire.

Late Monday afternoon, firefighters were called to an area near Smart and Denver Avenues to battle a fire in an abandoned house. Shortly thereafter it was learned that the bodies of two individuals, a man believed to be in his twenties and a woman in her forties, were discovered in the home. Neighbors indicated that they may be squatters who have been staying in the residence.

According to sources close to the families, the two individuals who perished in the fire were Jerry Beggs and Andrea Jackson. The Northeast News will provide further updates as they are available.
