KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Vine Street Studio, 2033 Vine St., will kick off its 2015 Spring season with a showcase of works created by students from the Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts.

The first available showing is tonight from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13. The event is free and open to the public. According to a press release from the Kansas City Public Schools, a special Juried Art Show was conducted in the Art Gallery at Paseo Academy. Judges for the show included: Former Paseo Art Instructor and Artist Lonnie Powell; Sean Kelley, Visual Art Consultant; and Pat Jordan, President of the Gem Cultural and Educational Center.

Winners of the show and their categories are:
• Drawing, Tiana Scruggs, 12th grade, charcoal, “Shades of Angst”
• Painting, Felix Maull, 12th grade, acrylic, “I Wonder…”
• Sculpture: Ka’Lyia Hood, 11th grade, ceramics, “Three Babies”
• Graphic Art: Trey Bradley, 12th grade, color photograph, “Afternoon”
• Printmaking: Indigo Franklin, 10th grade, reduction print, “Blue Indigo”
• Mixed Media: Dorlyn Estabrooks, 12th grade, mixed media, “Hypnotic Series #1”
