KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a possible homicide in the Northeast area.

According to Captain Tye Grant of the KCPD Media Unit, officers were dispatched to 4116 E. Sixth St. shortly after 7 a.m. in regards to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a man whose body was found on the porch of the house.

The cause of his injuries are unknown at this time. The exact location of the crime is also under investigation.
