KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City, Mo., Police Department are investigating the death of a man found in the Northeast area.

According to Captain Tye Grant of the KCPD Media Unit, officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of E. 16th Terrace around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21. Upon arrival, officers found the body of a deceased male in the front yard of 5623 E. 16th Terrace.

The victim appeared to have been shot. Police are investigating the death as a homicide.
