KANSAS CITY, Misouri – The Kansas City Public Schools will provide a progress report on its Middle School Project during a community meeting from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the cafeteria at Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, 4747 Flora Ave.
KCPS administrators and staff members will layout the status of the project and be on-hand to answer questions during the meeting. All interested members of the public are encouraged to attend. You can learn more about the project by visiting www.kcpublicschools.org/middleschools.
The KCPS is working in partnership with parents, community members, and its employee team to renovate and reopen two middle schools in the fall of 2014. More than 400 seventh graders will attend Central Middle School and Northeast Middle School for the 2014-2015 school year. The schools will grow into seventh and eighth grades during the 2015-2016 school year. The project marks a step forward towards achieving the goals set by Superintendent Dr. R. Stephen Green, especially in the areas of students achievement, college and career readiness, student attendance and parent and community engagement.
