La Chalupa Farmers Market
Mattie Rhodes’ La Chalupa Farmers Market will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and features locally grown produce. The farmers market will be held every Thursday at the Mattie Rhodes Center, 148 N. Topping Ave., Kansas City, Mo. SNAP/EBT cards will be accepted.

Area residents are invited to attend a meet and greet with former KC Wizards player Nick Garcia from 11 a.m. to noon at the new soccer complex at 9th and Van Brunt. Learn how you can help Garcia’s organization G3 Inc. with the cost of upkeep at 9th and Van Brunt and running community athletic programs not covered by the city. Kiwanis Chili Supper
The Blue Valley Kiwanis Club is hosting an All You Can Eat Chili Day on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Blue Valley Salvation Army Building, 6618 Truman Rd., Kansas City, Mo. Cost is $7 and includes drink and dessert.

 

Hard hat tours
Take a 90-minute tour of Corinthian Hall, the more than 100-year-old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family, with Kansas City Museum Director Christopher Leitch on Nov. 18. Visitors will see Corinthian Hall in mid-renovation. Advance registration is required and cost is $5. Tour begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd.

 

Holiday Open House
