Scare-It Halloween
Scarritt Renaissance will host its annual Scare-It Halloween from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will span four blocks starting at the KC Museum and continuing to Gladstone Boulevard and Mersington.

La Chalupa Farmers Market
Mattie Rhodes’ La Chalupa Farmers Market will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and features locally grown produce. The farmers market will be held every Thursday at the Mattie Rhodes Center, 148 N. Topping Ave., Kansas City, Mo. SNAP/EBT cards will be accepted.

 

Hard Hat Happy Hour
Explore Kansas City Museum’s 100+ year old mansion home, Corinthian Hall, with a glass of wine during Kansas City Museum’s Hard Hat Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. You’ll see Corinthian Hall in mid-renovation and hear first-hand about plans for the grand mansion’s future from Museum Director Christopher Leitch and Museum staff. Flu Shots
Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center will offer flu vaccines to the public for $15. If you have insurance, be sure to bring your card with you. The vaccination clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Samuel U. Rodgers, 825 Euclid Ave., Kansas City, Mo.

 

Smoke Alarm Giveaway
Volunteers with free smoke alarms, batteries and fire prevention materials will visit more than 500 homes in Historic Northeast Saturday morning. The group will canvass a 25-square block area around the Jesus Cristo El Buen Pastor Church, 4925 St. John Ave.

 

Scarritt Renaissance Quality of Life meeting
A Quality of Life Planning Summit facilitated by former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes will be held for the Scarritt Renaissance neighborhood. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Flarsheim Hall, 5110 Rockhill.
