City Market will kick off its Whoville Holidays this Saturday, where youngsters and their families may snap a picture with the Grinch and create crafts in the warmth of Cindy Lou Who’s home.
Whoville Holidays will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22. The Grinch will be available for photos from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from noon to 1 p.m. Whoville Holidays will be located at 400 Grand, Suite 428, at the northeast corner of the City Market. On opening day, Saturday, Nov. 24, the first 20 children to arrive dressed as their favorite Who character will receive a special holiday prize pack.
Also at Whoville, there will be plenty of children’s activities like homemade Christmas tree ornaments, Grinch masks and more.
Whoville Holidays is a free event, but donations are encouraged to support City Market’s “Help A Who” campaign. Bring either three canned goods for Harvesters, or a new, unwrapped toy for the Salvation Army.
As always, City Market’s farmer’s market will be open, along with the variety of local merchants and vendors, so attendees can finish up their Christmas shopping. The winter farmer’s market hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
