KANSAS CITY, Missouri — This weekend, multiple bicycle races will impact traffic in and around the Northeast area.

The first race, Off the Beaten Path, begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13. With nearly 500 participants, the 5K and 10K race will impact traffic around: Benton Street, Gladstone Boulevard, Cliff Drive, E. Lookout Point Drive, Reservoir Drive, Lexington Avenue, Bellefontaine Avenue, and St. John Avenue.

On Sunday, June 14, the Kansas City Metro Bicycle Club: Ride the Fountain Bike Tour kicks off at 8 a.m. and concludes around 2 p.m. There will be no road closures, but with nearly 350 participating cyclists, many cyclists will be sharing the road with drivers as they peddle around the city. Ride the Fountains is a family-friendly bicycle tour starting at Liberty Memorial that takes cyclists to many of Kansas City’s historic fountains and other landmarks such as the impressive Union Station, Kansas City Museum, Country Club Plaza, and scenic Cliff Drive to name a few.
