The victim of an Aug. 1 shooting at 12th and Lawndale has died from his injuries, according to police.
The victim has been identified as Michael Brown, a 33-year-old white male from Kansas City.
On Saturday just before 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the location on a shooting call. Upon arrival, they located Brown, who had been shot.
EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.
Crime scene investigators responded and processed the scene. Witnesses told officers the shooting occurred in front of the residence there, near a vehicle.
On Aug. 4, detectives were notified that Brown had died from his injuries.
