Approximately 40 children were inside a Kansas City day care when a vehicle crashed through the front wall of the building.
Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) officers were dispatched to the Christian Academy day care center, 3611 E. 27th St., shortly before 1 p.m. today.
According to KCPD, a Range Rover rear-ended a Cadillac, forcing the Cadillac through the front wall of the day care center. Two children were trapped underneath the Cadillac and a total of three children were transported to an area hospital. The driver of the Range Rover was also transported to the hospital. The driver of the Cadillac fled from the scene.
KCPD said it believes all children have been accounted for, but are double checking as a precaution.
