Since last summer, Super Flea (6200 St. John Avenue) bargain shoppers had to navigate their way to a side entrance as building renovations continued. On Thursday, March 13, building owner Cubework coordinated with the Northeast Chamber of Commerce to host a ribbon-cutting, open house, and preview of the new main entrance.
From 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., the main doors were open to community members and prospective vendors to check out the market space, now featuring fresh paint, updated restrooms, and an array of vendors- some new to the space and others as longtime vendors.

Following an introduction from Rita Strickland, Business Development Manager for Cubework, vendors gathered outside the new entrance for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Three, two, one- CUT!

This new entrance is accessible from St. John Avenue.
Back inside, visitors were able to shop at select vendors open for this occasion while enjoying nibbles such as fresh fruit, cookies, and donuts. Door prizes included three baskets of items from Super Flea vendors.

Virgil Keeto from the Navajo nation performed a traditional dance to bring good spirits to the refurbished space and then invited attendees to join in for a unique, shared experience.

Forty vendors offer a variety of goods from clothing, electronics, jewelry, and general merchandise. Additional spaces are still available, as well as food court opportunities.
Super Flea’s regular hours are Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information visit http://www.cubework.com
