Wow. Just wow. Realtors call it “pride of ownership.” I call it a stunning example of a classic American Bungalow that is the epitome of “your grandma’s house.” Wow!

If you haven’t driven by this week’s feature listing at 433 S. Denver, I highly recommend you do so – and take an artist friend with you!

The first order of business is to pick your jaw up off the ground when you drive up to the place. Pinch me, I’m dreamin’. If this isn’t the neatest and cleanest Bungalow in Northeast, I’ll buy someone lunch at Woodyard BBQ. This is the classic, two bedroom Bungalow home situated on a double lot that looks to have been manicured by the head Greens-keeper at The National.

Classic layout is inside – two bedrooms separated by the master bath. The bath has been remodeled with a stand-up shower/tub combination, a necessity to be sure. The kitchen has had a 1970s facelift as well, but it’s still spacious and functional. The back porch is really set up as a canning area with the classic 1950s clotheslines thrown in to boot. The Basement? You guessed it. Neat as a pin and dry as a bone.

Mechanically, it’s all here. Updated electrical and plumbing service, a newer roof, all brick construction, a newer boiler for the operational steam heat and a large window unit to keep everything cool in the summer. Tons, and I mean TONS of natural original quarter-sawn oak woodwork is found throughout, including the original mantle with the ceramic fireplace heater which is operational. That heater alone should be enough to take care of the whole house.

Outside, there’s the huge corner, double lot that’s been expertly maintained. There’s a four-bay, detached garage out back, too, for all the toys and lawn tools. Topped off with a huge centennial (looks to be) tree that’s right out of a picture book and you’ve got the total package at 433 S. Denver Ave.

This house would be a steal in any other market at $60K. In this market, however, the price is an extremely modest $49,900. Check it out – if you’re in the market for a timeless classic, then this true Bungalow is a perfect fit for you. Call Northeast Realty’s Bill or Jim Lawless today, and I mean right now to take a walk through. The phone number is (816) 241-8442. I’m tellin’ ya – don’t drag your feet.
