Sheffield Place is hosting their Off The Wall fundraising event October 12 at 5:30 p.m. This event will be at the lower exhibition hall at the Municipal Auditorium for the third year.
Sheffield Place is a treatment and supportive housing program. They focus on mothers and children, serving those who have “high barriers,” according to David Hanzlick, the Director of Programs.
The building has three floors of rooms with a shared kitchen on each floor as well as a playground and garden outside.
The Off The Wall event has three main goals: income, information, and involvement. The event is used to raise money for Sheffield Place and to encourage people to get involved however they can, whether it is by donating money or volunteering.
“We want people to come to Off The Wall to walk away with an understanding of what Sheffield Place is and what we do,” said Hanzlick.
The event will include live art, dinner, drinks, and an auction. There will be art and trips auctioned off, including a holiday trip to New York and a trip to Costa Rica.
“If your walls are already full of art, there are lots of other things for you to enjoy,” said Hanzlick.
This event is Sheffield Place’s largest signature fundraiser.
