From Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association:

We received a report of an incident involving two men and a woman at a private residence along North Gladstone late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning. Witness reported loud shouting (possibly an argument) in the street that lead to one man pounding on a nearby resident’s front door before destroying the screen door in attempt to gain entry to the porch. Fortunately, entry was not gained and no one was hurt before police arrived. A machete was left behind at the scene.

As you may recall, a similar incident occurred just two weeks ago at the intersection of Windsor Ave and N. Gladstone Blvd in which a loud argument between two men in the street escalated to a fight in which one was severely injured by the other with a machete.

KCPD has not identified nor apprehended suspects in either case and, at this time, have not positively linked the two incidents.

The suspect in was a white man in his late 30’s to early 40’s. The woman was much shorter, dark hair and fair complexion. The second man was on a bike and had shaggy hair. Obviously, suspect is prone to extreme violence and may be chemically dependent so it is advisable to avoid any confrontation.
