KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Detectives with the Kansas City Police released a photo and a video of a person of interest in the string of burglaries that has plagued the North Gladstone Boulevard corridor area over the last few weeks.

Detectives Ron Orr and Wayne Jones said since January, there have been eight first-degree burglaries — a burglary while someone is home at the time. The detectives said the suspect generally commits the crime early in the morning and has stolen cash and smaller items. They also believe the suspect is responsible for the theft of three vehicles, two of which have been recovered. The third, a 2013 Subaru Outback, was stolen April 2. Police are still looking for the third vehicle.

The detectives also noted they have a photo of a woman in a golf Ford Taurus, pictured above and below, using one of the stolen credit cards, at a Raytown McDonald’s. Orr and James said they’re following all leads at this point.

One thing is for certain, though, Orr has been impressed with the Northeast neighborhood stepping up to protect and fight for its community. He added since last week’s neighborhood meeting, there have been no reports of burglaries in the area.
