Around 5:30 a.m. Monday morning, Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) officers responded to a robbery and shooting around Scarritt and White avenues.

The victim, an unidentified male, was shot by an unknown male suspect. His injuries are non-life threatening.

According to KCPD, the victim stated that he was riding his bike when the suspect pointed a gun at him, stole a personal item, and shot him.

The investigation is underway. According to KCPD, this is the same incident that was reported in the 5800 block of Wilson Avenue.
