Saturday morning, April 22nd, the annual PAL (Police Athletic League) clothing giveaway was at the PAL Center 18th and White. Clothing, hygiene products and essential household goods, all free of charge will be given away today. “This is a really cool event just because it really ties in the entire community,” said retired KCPD Sergeant Skip Cox who is now the Executive Director at PAL. “It helps people who really need the help, but it’s people who, you know, care a lot about other people to be able to provide for them.” This year over 10,000 pounds of clothes were given away. x MICHAEL BUSHNELL
