The Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is ready to tickle your taste buds with its NEKC International Taste and Tour, which will feature samples from more than 20 international restaurants. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the American Sons of Columbus Hall, 2415 Independence Ave., Kansas City, Mo.
Cuisine will range from Ethiopian to French to Haitian to Italian to Somalian and more.
Other activities will include trolley tours of Historic Northeast, a swing dance performance by the Swingsters and the jazz inspired sounds of the Grand Marquis Band. There will also be a cash bar, live auction and 50/50 drawing.
Trolley tours and social hour will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. the Grand Marquis Band will perform and cuisine will be available for sampling. Beginning at 8 p.m., the Swingsters will hit the stage.
Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door.
