KANSAS CITY, Missouri – If you’ve noticed some new items in the meat case at Snyder’s Supermarket, you’re not seeing things. Marinated steaks, stuffed pork chops, King crab legs and standing crown roasts for the holidays are all part of the new customer-focused paradigm at Snyder’s Supermarket. Part of that paradigm is a new Meat Cutter back in the completely updated Snyder’s Meat Department. Collin Ryan started at Snyder’s just before the Thanksgiving holiday and has already put forward a variety of new choices for the growing customer base at Snyder’s.
“This is really a unique opportunity and I’m excited to be a part of the community,” said Ryan as he put together a custom meat bundle for an awaiting customer. “I really look forward to putting out some new offerings like the pork chops or the standing rib roasts for the holidays.”
Snyder’s General Manager Jenelle James was enthusiastic about the new addition to the store’s veteran staff.
“Our meat has always been a strong part of our business here at Snyder’s and we’re looking at Collin to take that to the next level,” said James.
Ryan is no stranger to the meat cutting business, having spent the last twenty or so years with Food for Less in St. Joseph. Those stores were bought out by Apple Market in 2008 and in November of 2016 were closed permanently, according to a story in the St. Joseph Post.
“We just want to really focus on helping the customer and make sure we give them the best product for their food dollar,” said Ryan.
Anyone with custom holiday meat orders or questions on preparation or pairings is encouraged to call Ryan directly at 816-483-6130.
