Northeast News

Dear editor,
This coming August, you’ll be asked to pick the next State Representative to serve the interests of the Northeast neighborhood in Jefferson City. Fortunately, the decision is simple. Vote for Ingrid Burnett as the next State Representative for the 19th District. Ingrid is no newcomer to the Historic Northeast. She and her husband have lived here for the last 35 years. Their three children were raised here.
If you’re one of the few Nor’easters who has never met Ingrid, then let me tell you a little bit about her. She is a dedicated, lifelong educator. She has, in her career, been a classroom teacher, a school counselor and the principal. She served for six years as a board member of the Kansas City School District, a truly thankless, yet crucial, job. She has also served as a board member of the Missouri School Boards Association and the University of Missouri Extension Council.
That’s not all. She was also a board member of the Kansas City United Way, and for many years, the 11th Ward Committeewoman of the Democratic party. On top of that, she has worked tirelessly as a community activist to improve the Northeast neighborhood. She also works as a dedicated volunteer with her church.
To quote Ingrid, “I believe the most important role for a State Legislator is to promote and advocate for the district they represent.” On August 2nd, if there is any doubt who can best represent the Northeast in Jefferson City, then vote for the person who has dedicated her life to public service and the better of the Northeast. Vote for Ingrid Burnett as our representative in the stat House of Representatives. Go, Ingrid, go!!!
Cordially yours,
Sam Crowley
Your 12th Ward Democratic Jackson County Committeeman
