Kansas City Police Department officers initiated an Operation 100 earlier this morning in the 1600 block of Mary Lou Williams.
Officers were originally dispatched to the 1600 block of Ella Fitzgerald on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim who was suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Officers believed the suspect was still inside one of the town homes in the 1600 block of Mary Lou Williams and initiated an Operation 100.
At approximately 12:13 p.m., officers terminated the Operation 100. The suspect was not located inside the residence and detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting.
