KANSAS CITY – Kansas City Police were called to a residence Tuesday evening, February 26, around 6 p.m. in the 100 block of S. White on a rape investigation.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim who indicated the suspect was inside the residence. When officers attempted to make contact with the individual, he refused to come out of the house. Officers also determined the man was armed. Officers surrounded the house and an operation 100 was initiated to bring more tactical resources and negotiators to the scene.
A Command Post was established at James Elementary School and tactical officers were transported to the home just after 7:30 p.m.
At approximately 10 p.m., a number of individuals exited the residence and were taken into custody without incident. KCPD detectives continue to investigate and charges are pending. We’ll have more on this developing story as details and charges are released.
