Kansas City Police Department officers are investigating a homicide that occurred today in Northeast.
Earlier this afternoon, officers observed a car traveling at a high rate of speed near Truman and Hardesty. When the vehicle arrived at Truman Medical Center, a shooting victim was located inside the vehicle. A short time later, the victim was declared deceased. The victim is described as an Hispanic male in his 20s.
Officers contacted the driver and responded to 23rd Street, between Hardesty and Van Brunt, where they located the crime scene.
