KANSAS CITY -The victim in Tuesday morning’s homicide at Independence and Spruce has been identified as 32-year-old Brooklyn Lindsey.

According to KCPD, a dead body was found Tuesday morning on the 600 block of Spruce on the front steps near a boarded up abandoned house.

The victim was a black transgender woman. There is no suspect info at the time.

Neighbors reported hearing possible verbal disturbance followed by gunshots around 2:30 or 3:00 this morning.
