Each year, the city of Kansas City recognizes citizens who take pride in where they live and those who exhibit the traits of being friendly, helpful, respectful and clean, to name a few.

The purpose of the award is to provide an incentive to engage the citizens of Kansas City to take ownership and invest their time and skills into their community. Neighbors looking after each other provide a sense of community that creates synergy for the city of Kansas City.
