Fireworks illegal in Kansas City? Really? Who da thunk it!
Given the firepower this newshound was witness to over the weekend, it’s tough to believe we live in a “depressed” neighborhood. We’d venture to say the money spent on fireworks for the holiday would actually rival the total GDP of some third world countries.
The copious quantities of red firecracker paper and spent shells we saw in the park on Tuesday morning leads this crafty canine to believe that more money was spent over the weekend on explosive material than was spent on groceries and essentials.
We’re still working on the twisted irony of celebrating a holiday that’s uniquely American with Chinese-made explosives.
