Joyce Mardel Scribner passed away March 5, 2012.

Joyce was born Oct. 26, 1951, to the union of John and Elvia Bruce in St. Louis, Mo. She was the youngest of two children.

She was preceded in death by both parents and her sister, Janie.

She moved to Kansas City at an early age. She received her education from the Kansas City, Missouri School District. She worked and lived in the Northeast part of Kansas City, Mo. She was gainfully employed at the Flea Market.

She was loved by many. She was the best wife, friend, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 46 years, Robert Scribner, Sr., of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Mary Castillo (Nacho) of KCMO; five sons, Richard W. Scribner, Robert Scribner, Jr., Gary L. Scribner (Andrea), Johnney E. Scribner, Steven Scribner (Rosie), all of KCMO; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
