U.S. flags dotted the lawn at Jackson County Courthouse Sept. 9 in honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The flags will be displayed throughout the weekend.

“While September 11, 2001, was one of the darkest moments in our nation’s history, its aftermath brought out what is best about America,” Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders said. “It is important that we continue to honor the thousands that we lost on that tragic day as well as those who risked their own lives to rescue fellow citizens.”
