Today at about 12:15 PM officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Jackson in regard to a party who was down and unresponsive.

Upon arrival, officers located the  a male lying on the ground who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS personnel.

Preliminary information is that there may have been an argument or altercation leading up to this. No suspect information is available at this time.

Detectives and crime scene personnel remain at the scene and actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene.
