KANSAS CITY, Missouri — A Northeast neighborhood association wants to reward the best decorated house.
There’s still time to participate in Indian Mound Neighborhood Association’s Holiday Decorating Contest. Until Monday, Dec. 21, residents in the IMNA are encouraged to go crazy with decorations and holiday cheer. The only requirement is your porch light must remain lit through the duration of the contest.
There are four categories and houses will be awarded points for spunk, creativity, duration of display and best overall display. Winners will receive up to $200 towards holidays needs with prizes donated by the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Price Chopper and other area businesses.
Winners will be announced at the next neighborhood association meeting, 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Mattie Rhodes Center, 148 N. Topping Ave.
