KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City Health Department is offering flu vaccinations for both adults and children at the Health Department, located at 2400 Troost Ave.
Flu shots are available during regular clinic hours from 8 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursdays. The Health Department will bill Medicare Part B or Medicaid on behalf of those who provide proof of coverage. Children that qualify under the Federal Vaccine for Children (VFC) program will receive vaccine provided through that program. All others will be charged $25 per shot or $40 for the high-dose formulation (available to seniors 65 years and older). Cash and credit cards only will be accepted for payment. Those with other insurance providers that cover flu vaccination will need to go to their primary care physician or their regular clinic to receive vaccine.
More information on flu shot clinics may be found at the Health Department webpage, www.kcmo.org/health.
