Northeast Arts KC Chalk Walk attendance was dismal the first day, April 27, due to inclement weather. However, the sun came out on April 28 and area residents flocked to The Concourse at Kessler Park to show off their creative skills and check out other artists’ work. Designs ranged from portraits to cartoons to loveable animals. Other activities included kite demonstrations, health screenings and North-East Public Library reading activities. Representatives from the Kansas City Water Garden Society and a local train club were also on hand.
