A woman is dead following a hit-and-run collision on Monday night.

East Patrol Division officers responded to a three car collision around 9:40 p.m. A black Mazda 3 was traveling west on St. John Avenue at a high rate of speed.

The driver struck a parked tan Lexus, occupied with a passenger, and then struck a parked green Ford F150, occupied with a passenger.

The driver of the Mazda, an unknown male, ran from the scene. The passenger in the Mazda was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The passenger in the Lexus had no complaints of injury.

The passenger in the Ford F150 complained of injury, he was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This is 69th traffic fatality compared to 60 at this time last year.
