After 81 years in a family-owned business, it’s obvious the Passantino brothers did something right. Brothers Charles, George and Rosario Passantino opened the Passantino Bros. Funeral Home in January of 1930.
Charles Passantino worked in a funeral home previously and wanted to branch out on his own, Bertoncin said.
“It’s a funeral home different from many because few family operations are still around. We’re a family business working with families,” Bertoncin said.
Asked how the Passantino Bros. Funeral Home tailors its services to fit the needs of invidividual families, Bertoncin said, “We’ve served a variety of cultures and religious backgrounds with a wide breadth of experiences. What’s interesting is no matter our differences, we all mourn and celebrate life the same.”

Both burial and cremation services are offered at the Passantino Bros. Funeral Home.
A traditional or immediate burial is available. A traditional burial consists of a visitation, funeral ceremony and burial or entombment, whereas an immediate burial involves only a graveside ceremony.
Traditional or immediate cremation is offered, as well. The traditional cremation is the same process as a traditional burial and an immediate cremation simply forgoes public viewing and remains are returned to the family.
Currently, Charles Passantino, third generation of the Passantino brothers, is president of the funeral home.
