This week’s Faces of Northeast are two people who dispense happiness to thousands of people on a weekly basis.

Dave and Ronnie are donut engineers at Boulevard Bakery, located at 2815 Independence Boulevard.

Dave has been with the bakery for six years and Ronnie has been there since 1991 when owners Mary and Loretta took over the operation.

Their role in the community?

“We dispense happiness,” Ronnie said. “Donuts are in the comfort food group and we take pride in making people comfortable,” Dave said.

While not related to each other, both hail from Wyandotte and love the character of working on Independence Avenue.

“We have people from all over the metro come to Boulevard for their custom cookies and donuts,” Ronnie said.
